In Singapore, the National Immunisation Programme includes
immunisation against tuberculosis, hepatitis B, diphtheria,
pertussis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles, mumps and rubella.
In addition to these immunisations, children are increasingly
being immunised against other diseases e.g. haemophilus
influenzae, chicken pox, meningococcal, pneumococcal.
The National Immunisation Registry (NIR) of Singapore is
designed to collect and maintain accurate, complete and current
vaccination records of children and adults who resides in
Singapore, to promote effective and cost-efficient disease
prevention and control. NIR aims to achieve 95% coverage for
immunisations under the National Immunisation Programme.
The system is maintained under National Immunisation Registry (NIR),
National Registry of Diseases Office (NRDO), Policy, Research and Surveillance
(PRS) Division of Health Promotion Board (HPB). |
